Senator Kuya Bong Go visited Sarangani on Thursday to witness the inauguration of the Kiamba Sarangani Super Health Center, after attending the turnover ceremony and blessing of the Proper Ned, Lake Sebu, South Cotabato Super Health Center.
He was joined by Vice Governor Elmer De Peralta, Mayor George Falgui, Vice Mayor Marie Jess Ancheta, members of the Sanggunian, and other local and health officials of the town.
The Kiamba Sarangani Super Health Center, which started construction in 2022, is a medium type of a polyclinic that provides various medical services to the residents. Senator Kuya Bong Go explained, “I am not only promoting Malasakit Center. The Super Health Centers are different. We thought about it in 2021, because when I went around the whole Philippines, there are many municipalities—4th, 5th, 6th class municipalities—that don’t have their own health centers. Pregnant women give birth on a tricycle.”
He added, “Today, the beauty of the Super Health Center is that we have brought medical services closer to our countrymen. Childbirth, dental, laboratory, X-Ray can be done there. And the minor cases, minor operations can be done there. And dialysis machines can be installed when the time comes for LGUs (local government units). This is with the help of our colleagues in Congress, LGUs and the DOH. That is the Super Health Center.”
Senator Kuya Bong Go also distributed grocery packs to some Barangay Health Workers and gave some food to some children present.
