The Philippine government delivered about 3,000 family food packs to residents affected by Super Typhoon Carina in Tanay, Rizal, on Saturday, July 28.
Relief packs were distributed to the barangays of Sta. Ines, Laiban, Sto. Niño, Tinucan, and Daraitan in a joint effort by the Rizal provincial government, Office of Civil Defense (OCD) CALABARZON, and the Philippine Army’s 2nd Infantry “Jungle Fighter” Division (2ID).
Maj. Gen. Capulong said the aid follows President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to provide immediate assistance to residents affected by the typhoon and southwest monsoon.
