Puerto Princesa, Palawan – The Department of Tourism (DOT) MIMAROPA conducted a series of key engagements during an official visit to Puerto Princesa City, aimed at strengthening regional tourism development.
Among the highlights was a Tourist Drivers Seminar organized for members of The Last Frontier Transport Cooperative, held from April 1 to 3. DOT MIMAROPA Regional Director Roberto P. Alabado III graced the event and delivered a special message to participants.
The DOT MIMAROPA team also took part in the General Members Meeting of the Palawan Tourism Council, where future tourism projects and sustainable practices were discussed as part of potential collaborative efforts in the province.
Furthering its partnership with the academic sector, the DOT delegation met with officials of the Palawan State University – College of Tourism and Hospitality. Discussions centered on expanding cooperation in research and program development, with an emphasis on providing resource speakers and generating tourism-related studies.
The initiatives were held alongside a welcome reception hosted for representatives of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) during their visit to the city.
