MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) on Monday reiterated that the sale or distribution—whether commercial or free—of SHFT vape products remains strictly prohibited while formal charges against the company are pending.

The DTI’s Office for the Special Mandate on Vaporized Nicotine and Non-Nicotine Products (OSMV) issued the reminder following a social media post by SHFT on April 16, 2025, which announced plans to distribute its products for free “while supplies last.”

Authorities warned that any such activity violates standing Preventive Measure Orders (PMOs) issued against SHFT, its manufacturer, and its importer on September 6, 2024 and January 31, 2025. The orders stem from alleged violations of Republic Act 11900, or the Vaporized Nicotine and Non-Nicotine Products Regulation Act, and related administrative and national standards.

The DTI emphasized that the conditions outlined in SHFT’s Certificate of Conditional Release (CCR) remain in force, which explicitly prohibit the transfer, use, sale, or distribution of the products involved.

Consumers were urged to refrain from any transaction involving SHFT’s products. The DTI warned that violators of the PMOs or CCR may face penalties.

To report violations of RA 11900, the public may contact OSMV_Comms@dti.gov.ph. Complaints on vape products can also be filed via the DTI Consumer Care System at ConsumerCare.dti.gov.ph.
