The Philippine Travel Exchange (PHITEX) delegate of international buyers concluded a successful post-PHITEX tour of Bohol on October 25, 2022.
The group of travel and tour operators from Canada, UAE, Taiwan, South Korea, India and Malaysia along with representatives of the Department of Tourism (DOT) and Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) visited famed tourism attractions of the province including the Corella Tarsier Sanctuary, Loboc River Cruise, Bilar Man-made Forest, the Chocolate Hills, and Dolphin Watching/Island Hopping in Panglao. The also held property inspections of hotels.
The Provincial Government through the Bohol Tourism Office hosted a reception for the group with Chief of Staff Atty. Antonio Amora, Jr. welcoming the delegates behalf of Gov. Aris Aumentado.
The tour was part of PHITEX 2022 where 132 Philippine sellers and 119 foreign buyers participated in the online and onsite travel exchange at the Marriott Grand Ballroom, Newport World Resorts.
PHITEX 2022, organized by the TPB, closed with a record-breaking PHP 172,602,851.00 in business sales leads.
