Jimalalud, Negros Oriental – Three sub-projects worth Php 3.7 million have been completed in Jimalalud through the efforts of community volunteers under the KALAHI-CIDSS program of DSWD.

The sub-projects include a concreting of 0.19km access road in Brgy. Bangcal and the construction of health stations in Brgy. South Poblacion and Brgy. Dayoyo.

The community volunteers, together with barangay officials, formed the Barangay Development Council – Technical Working Group (BDC-TWG) to plan, budget, report, and procure for the sub-projects.

The KALAHI-CIDSS program aims to empower communities to identify and address their priority needs through participatory decision-making and resource allocation.

The municipality of Jimalalud expressed its gratitude to DSWD and KALAHI-CIDSS for providing them with the grant and enabling them to deliver basic social services to their people.
