In a statement posted on his Facebook page on Wednesday, Chatto said that DFA Secretary Enrique Manalo bared the approval of the DFA Office in Tagbilaran City, which Chatto pushed for in 2021.
Chatto said that the DFA Office in Tagbilaran City passed the criteria of expected clientele, potential passport issuance and revenue generation.
“We are working on its budget under 2024 General Appropriations Act. Once opened, this will make DFA services more accessible to Boholanos, OFWs , foreign nationals residing or visiting Bohol,” Chatto said.

Chatto said that the DFA Office in Tagbilaran City will benefit the people of Bohol, especially those who need to apply for or renew their passports, visas and other consular services.
He also said that the DFA Office in Tagbilaran City will boost the q, as it will attract more foreign visitors and investors to the province.
Chatto thanked Secretary Manalo and the DFA for their support and cooperation in making the DFA Office in Tagbilaran City a reality. He also expressed his gratitude to Governor Aris Aumentado, Mayor Jane Yap and other local officials for their assistance and coordination in facilitating the project.
