The event, held on February 27, 2024, in Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines, brought together 40 officials from 20 transport cooperatives under the Mindanao Federation of Transport Cooperatives (MFTC) from Region 10 and Region 13. It marked a significant milestone in the modernization of public transport across Mindanao.
JINYI Import and Export Trading Co. and Asialink Finance Corp., who organized the meeting in collaboration with Panta Transportation, showcased the synergies between financing institutions and transport technology providers.
The meeting enabled cooperative members to access loans for procuring modern Class 2 and Class 3 vehicles from JINYI, a major step forward in upgrading the region’s public transport infrastructure.
Panta Transportation confirmed an agreement with JINYI for installing its Automated Fare Collection System (AFCS) and Fleet Management System (FMS) across all new vehicles acquired by MFTC-member cooperatives.
This integration will create a leap towards more efficient, sustainable, and passenger-friendly transport services in Mindanao, aligning with Panta Transportation’s commitment to revolutionizing urban mobility through innovation and technology.
