A road safety seminar, “ALERTO KADA KILOMETRO” (Alert Every Kilometer), was held at the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) in the Philippines on August 27, 2024. The event, organized by Metro Pacific Tollways South (MPT South), aimed to promote road safety and reduce accidents on the country’s expressways.
The seminar, which was the third leg of the Drayberks Road Safety Seminar series, was attended by 65 drivers of public and private vehicles. The event featured presentations on road safety, including traffic awareness, driving habits, trip planning, and toll management.
Carlo Hipol, Head of Traffic Operations at MPT South, led the seminar and provided valuable insights on road safety. He emphasized the importance of being aware of one’s surroundings while driving and the need to plan trips carefully.
Arlette V. Capistrano, Vice President for Communications and Stakeholder Management at MPT South, stressed the significance of the seminar in promoting road safety. “Our goal is to help reduce accidents on the expressway by imparting the importance of drivers being concerned for their well-being and the well-being of other road users,” she said.
The seminar is part of MPT South’s efforts to promote road safety and reduce accidents on the country’s expressways. The event is also part of the company’s mission to promote safe and efficient transportation in the Philippines.
The seminar was attended by Arnold Yuson, Terminal Operations Manager of PITX, and Rechillo Baladjay, Technical Staff from the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB). The event was also supported by the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) and the Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX).
MPT South is a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), which operates several toll road networks in the Philippines, including CALAX, CAVITEX, NLEX, SCTEX, and CCLEX.
