    Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio visited the survivors of the ill-fated C-130 aircraft confined at Camp Navarro General Hospital on July 15, 2021.

    The mayor was accompanied by Western Mindanao Command Chief Lt. Gen. Corleto Vinluan, Jr., Joint Task Force Sulu Commander Maj. Gen. William Gonzales, Joint Task Force Zamboanga Commander Col. Randolph Rojas, Zamboanga City Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar, House Speaker Lord Jay Allan Velasco, and Davao Occidental Governor Claude Bautista.

    “We are very much elated with the overwhelming support the armed forces, most especially the victims of the tragic incident, receive from the different sectors and agencies, and the generous people of this country,” said Lt. Gen. Vinluan, Jr.

    Mayor Sara distributed goods to the soldiers.

    Meanwhile, the soldiers expressed their gratitude to all the people who help them ease the physical and emotional trauma they incurred during the crash-landing of the Hercules C-130 aircraft with tail number 5125 on July 4, 2021.

    It can be recalled that the survivors were also visited by their rescuers on July 14. On the said occasion, the rescued victims were able to express their gratefulness to the first responders.
