PEP TALKS AT SM LANANG PREMIER

Ian Ray Garcia | PEP Talks’ second edition for the month of September featured guests Davao Horse Club president Kobi Troy Tan with wife Monica; Davao Doctors Care Center director Mayeth Apao and manager Elevan Flores; and The Thai Guy owner Mains Dulay for the first set.

Tan promoted the upcoming 20th Davao Horse Show on October 28 to 30 at the DHC Stables and Horse Park in Matina Aplaya. Events include oval race, barrel race, obstacle race, show jumping, drill team, and cross country.

For the first time, there will also be a livestock and agri trade fair and food tenants during the weekend long event.

Davao Doctors simultaneously opened their Care Centers in SM City Davao and SM Lanang Premier last September 14. Services include diagnostics, consultation, and other minor procedures.

The Thai Guy, a new restaurant in SM Lanang Premier’s Sky Garden, now serves traditional Thai fares such as Pad Thai and Pad Kee Mao, aside from their Mookata.

The second set of guests for the the forum includes Philippine Eagle Foundation director for research and conservation Jayson Ibanez, IP-CBEC representative Lipatuan Joel Unad (Obu Manuvu), ADMO chairman Matanem Hernan Ambe (Bagobo Tagabawa – Sibulan), Pongoo Rosalito ANOG, ADMO chair (Bagobo Klata), Pononag Roberto Mabilao (Tinonanon Manuvu – Arakan), Indigenous Political Structure head Pongnguo Castillo Mantawil (Bagobo Klata), ADMO chair Mahabuk Luis Lambac (Obu Manuvu), committee on environment Pononag George Mandahay (Obu Manuvu), Matanem Jonathan Awing (Bagobo Tagabawa – Toril), and Pononag Alonso Suhat (Tinonanon Manuvu).

The IP leaders are one in calling for the protection of the environment and their ancestral domain, a 40,000 hectare forest cover where 5 pairs of Philippine Eagles also found home.

The coalition of the said IP leaders and the Philippine Eagle Foundation is formally formed though a ceremony today, October 26, followed by the opening of an exhibit, both held at SM Lanang Premier.
