DINGALAN, Aurora — Field activities for the 2025 Balikatan Combined Joint Logistics Over-the-Shore (CJLOTS) exercise reached a critical point on April 9 with the arrival of Armed Forces of the Philippines Education, Training and Doctrine Command (AFPETDC) Commander Maj. Gen. Francisco Lorenzo Jr. and Philippine Army Training Command Deputy Commander Brig. Gen. Michael Logico.
The officials visited the Philippine Navy ship BRP Waray (LC288) at Dingalan Port, where they observed naval logistics integration and operational readiness firsthand.
They later proceeded to the beach landing site to meet with U.S. forces, further emphasizing bilateral cooperation. The visit continued aboard the U.S. Army vessel SSGT Robert T. Kuroda (LSV-7), where they gained insights into the vessel’s logistics systems and maritime interoperability.
The day concluded with the successful offloading of vital equipment onto the beachhead, showcasing the CJLOTS objectives of enhancing joint logistics capabilities and interoperability. The exercise also supports long-term goals of building a unified and resilient regional defense posture.
