    A tragic accident on a highway in Lupon, Davao Oriental claimed the lives of three pedestrians, including a toddler, on Monday.

    The victims were identified by the Davao Oriental Provincial Police Office and the Police Regional Office-11 as Joselito Semiros, 58, Camille Toledo, 23, and her daughter Adessa Toledo, 2, who are now in a funeral home.
    The driver of the car that hit them, Vicente Mocoy Ambayec, 48, is in custody at the Lupon Municipal Police Station.

    He said he was trying to dodge a stray dog and two incoming motorcycles when he lost control of his Toyota car with license plates VID 311.

    The car veered off and struck the victims, who were walking on the side of the road.

    The three pedestrians were rushed to the Davao Oriental Medical Center in Mati City, Davao Oriental, but were pronounced dead on arrival by the medical staff. – Balita News
