    Panglao, Bohol – A high-value individual (HVI) drug suspect was arrested by the Panglao police in a buy bust operation that yielded P7.1 million worth of suspected shabu early Tuesday morning.

    The suspect was identified as Jopri Roberto Osorio, 41, a resident of barangay Palo, Loay, Bohol. He was caught selling shabu to an undercover police officer at Purok 5, Libaong, Panglao at around 1:07 a.m.

    According to PCapt. John Khalev Sanchez, chief of Panglao Municipal Police Station, Osorio was a known drug personality in the area and was under surveillance for several weeks.

    Sanchez said they recovered 1,050 grams of suspected shabu from Osorio, which has a standard drug price of P7,140,000.00. He said the seized shabu was packed in 10 large and 20 small plastic sachets.

    Osorio is now detained at the Panglao police station and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
