CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – Joint elements of the 54th, 69th and 71st Infantry Battalions and 73rd Military Intelligence Company captured a Communist NPA Terrorist (CNT) after a successful intelligence operation in Sitio Dilan, Brgy Namal, Asipulo, Ifugao on Thursday, June 16.
The captured CNT was identified as certain Edward Gamiao Jr also known as ‘Alvin’ and ‘Daniel’- who was listed in PSR in 2021 and since then he was being closely monitored by the government’s intelligence operatives.
Along with him was a M16 rifle with a loaded magazine, and an identification card of certain Avelyn Bonuan, the Front Secretary of Kilusang Larangang Gerilya ‘AMPIS’ of the CNT’s Ilocos-Cordillera Regional Committee.
The captured CNT along with his firearm and other items was brought to the 54IB headquarters in Sitio Ibulao, Brgy. Baguinge in Kiangan, Ifugao for proper disposition.
