Camp Navarro, Calarian, Zamboanga City – “We are dazzled by your all-out support to the police’s thrusts here in Mindanao. We have had numerous accomplishments in our joint operations notable of which are the rescue of the Indonesian kidnap victims and neutralization of “Apo Mike”,” said Police General Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar, Chief of the Philippine National Police.
“Let us continue to strengthen our good relationship for the common good,” he added.
Police Gen. Eleazar took time to visit the Western Mindanao Command on Sunday afternoon, August 1.
On his arrival, he was welcomed with a battalion-sized military honors rendered by the officers, men, and women of the WestMinCom.
He was then received by WestMinCom Deputy Commander for Admin Brig. Gen. Antonio Nafarrete and Deputy Commander for Operations Brig. Gen. Arturo Rojas at the Laong Laan Hall in Camp Navarro, Calarian, this city.
“It is a great honor and privilege to be visited by the topmost official of the Philippine National Police,” said Lt. Gen. Corleto Vinluan, Jr., Commander of Western Mindanao Command.
“This is a great venue for us to iron out the glitches and continue our interagency collaboration and cooperation,” the commander added.
Police Gen. Eleazar is the 26th Chief of the Philippine National Police. He is a member of the Philippine Military Academy “Hinirang” Class of 1987. (WestMinCom)
