Seven human remains were found buried in a vacant lot in Sitio Lapao, Brgy Karkum, Sapad, Lanao del Norte yesterday at around 9 in the morning, January 7, 2024.
Three of them have been identified as:
- Joselito Tibud Gaviola, male, 54 years old and resident of Islamic Sangali, Zamboanga City;
- Elvi Gaviola Legara, female, 43 years old, married and resident of Purok Dama de Noche, Poblacion, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur and;
- Marly Cabalan Gaviola, female, 50 years old and resident of P5, Sangali, Zambonga City.
The police are still identifying the four other remains through a deep investigation, as well as identifying the perpetrators of the crime and their motive.
The bodies of the victims were brought to Saint Michael Funeral in Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte.
