A total of 434 Special Forces Regiment (Airborne) paratroopers conducted a mass jump to commemorate the 124th anniversary of the Philippine Independence and in connection with the upcoming 60th founding anniversary of the said unit last June 11 to 12, 2022 at Dropzone Royce Fort Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija.
The two-day mass jump showcased the prowess of SFR(A) paratroopers who jumped from the aircraft and went airborne using the Philippine Army Maneuverable Canopy Model 1 HARIBON parachutes named after the Philippine Eagle (Haring Ibon) as well as MC4 and Sports Canopy for High Altitude jumps. The paratroopers also bannered Philippine flags while airborne from their parachutes as a symbol of their sworn duty and patriotism to the Filipino nation.
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., lauded SFR(A), which will mark its 60th founding anniversary on June 25, 2022, for continuously enhancing the capabilities and skills of Army paratroopers. “This exercise demonstrates the prowess of our Army paratroopers who can be deploy as a quick reaction force anytime, anywhere,” the Army Chief remarked.
